Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Trauma-informed care for teenagers and adolescents.
The Johnstown Heights’ Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an intensive outpatient treatment option for individuals ages 13 to 17 dealing with mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or other serious emotional or behavioral challenges.
It provides a structured and supportive environment for eight hours a day, five days a week, where participants can receive comprehensive care during the day but return home in the evenings, allowing for a balance between treatment and maintaining daily life responsibilities.

When is a Partial Hospitalization Program Helpful?
This is a Step Between Inpatient and Outpatient Care: It serves as a middle ground for those who require more support than standard outpatient therapy but do not need 24/7 care in a hospital or residential program.
Prevents Hospitalization: PHPs help individuals manage their mental health conditions effectively, reducing the risk of hospitalization or relapse.
Maintains Daily Routine: Since participants return home after daily sessions, they can practice the skills they learn in real-life settings, helping to bridge the gap between treatment and everyday life.
Intensive Support: The program provides consistent and focused attention from mental health professionals, offering a higher level of care than traditional outpatient therapy.
Community and Connection: Group therapy and peer interactions foster a sense of community, reducing feelings of isolation and building a support network.
PHPs are highly effective for individuals who are motivated to engage in their treatment but need more intensive support than a traditional outpatient model. They promote recovery, resilience, and long-term mental wellness.
