Johnstown Heights assists adults who struggle with behavioral health and substance use problems. Our individualized treatment program for each client and our collaboration with the client’s local care providers ensures a full continuum of care that sets the foundation for long-term health and well-being.
Our mental health program offers hope and recovery to clients suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health issues. After careful assessment and diagnosis by our psychiatrist-led clinical team, clients in crisis situations work through a graduated series of treatment levels with modalities that fit their needs and lifestyle. The clinical team provides care, support, and medication as necessary throughout a client’s stay on our campus.
During treatment, clients experience:
Our substance use disorder program provides evidence-based treatment approaches along with the Hazelden/Betty Ford COR-12 Program for Opioid Dependence. We treat all forms of chemical-based addiction, including alcohol and drugs (opiates, heroin, meth, cocaine, prescription drugs, etc.), with respect and non-judgment. Because addiction affects everyone differently, each client receives a comprehensive assessment by one of our licensed addiction professionals so that we can build a personalized recovery plan. Our treatment plans have in common the goal of uncovering the reasons behind the addiction so that clients can go forward with a clear vision of how to sustain a life-long recovery.
Our comprehensive addiction recovery program at Johnstown Heights includes:
At Johnstown Heights, we know that addiction and mental health issues affect the entire family. When family members have the opportunity to learn about the client’s issues, they can begin to see their own role more clearly and make changes to the home environment to promote their loved one’s–and the entire family’s–health and wellness.
With the client’s permission, family members are invited to visit them during appropriate times in their treatment. We also provide educational programming about mental health and addiction to help family members better understand how to help their loved ones.
