Summary:
Many clinicians find themselves using vital consultation time discussing challenging cases. As the relationships with clients develop, we become privy to out-of-office behaviors, and patterns of maladaptive response that challenge success. At some point, we begin to question, “What I am looking at?” This presentation will serve to explore the intersectionality of trauma, substance use, mental health, and personality.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to apply DSM 5-TR criteria to accurately assess cases of substance use, mental health, trauma and personality.
- Participants will identify how to make a referral and treatment plan using ASAM levels of care.
- Participants will be able to explain the effectiveness of treatment interventions and techniques.
